Yago Russo
Full-stack Software Engineer
Hi, I'm Yago. This is my website, where I create simple things in super complicated ways just to prove I can. Explore my projects, check out my stack, and see what happens when I have free time and a text editor.

Writing colorful letters since 2020
I work as a Full-stack Software Engineer with a focus on strict end-to-end TypeScript and scalable architectures. I developed the frontend of a platform from scratch using a multi-app monorepo with its own UI library and tooling, and structured the backend in a serverless monorepo on AWS Lambda with more than 17 microservices. I acted as a technical reference for architectural decisions, developer mentoring, and alignment between product and design. With over 5 years of experience, I navigate between various stacks to deliver complex and viable features.

My arsenal of languages and tools
Frontend Development
Creating pixel-perfect interfaces that look pretty even on Internet Explorer. I center divs and transform Figma designs into responsive and functional code.
Backend Engineering
The heavy lifting behind the scenes. I build scalable APIs, secure authentication flows and business logic that keeps the server from crashing on Friday afternoons.
DevOps
Taking code from 'localhost:3000' to the real world. I handle CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and AWS instances so that 'it works on my machine' becomes 'it works anywhere'.
Database Architecture
Structuring data efficiently so queries don't take 3 business days to run. Experience with SQL and NoSQL, and I promise never to run a DELETE without a WHERE.
Code Quality
Writing clean and sustainable code that my future self won't hate. I use automated tests, code reviews, and best practices to ensure the software doesn't break for no reason.
